From time to time I've been asked if George and I "knew then" that Men's Wearhouse was going to become a billion dollar publicly traded company.  Check out this picture.....does this look like someone who had a vision? (It's me, by the way--in 1973, just a few weeks after the first store opened in Houston)
Of course I didn't know.  What I did know is that I was willing to work hard to create something, which is pretty much what I did.

Surely there has been a time in your life when something really terrific happened, and ever since then you when looking back at that time, you said that you were lucky. Think about that event and write about it, but with a new perspective—instead of thinking that you were “lucky” think about what it took, what you might have done to influence the outcome.
