1. Don’t’ Wait For Someone Else To Teach You: Practically whatever the task, if you teach yourself, you’ll learn better. And when you have figured out something new, the next thing is to share the knowledge with someone else. Be a mentor and help others gain knowledge too.

2. Don’t Sell Yourself Short – Ever: Don’t doubt your abilities or your talents. Forget what you’ve been “led” to believe by others about your shortcomings. Believe your inner voice over the voice of “others.” Eliminate “I Can’t” from your personal lexicon.

3. Don’t Ask For A Favor – Bring An Opportunity: Learn to look at problems as ways to produce collaborations that offer solutions to others as well as yourself. And remember, when someone turns you down, NO is only short for NEGOTIATE!

4. Don’t Be Afraid To Share The Credit; Get A Partner: Don’t buy into the old adage, “lead, follow, or get out of the way.” You’ll learn a lot more in a team, and with a bit of synergy, you’ll be able to accomplish more, and you’ll find that the rocks in their head fit the holes in yours.
